Seattle: Connecting the Bosnia & Herzegovina professional community

On Friday, February 14th, while many were celebrating Valentine’s Day, we were celebrating something equally special—the power of community and connection. Bosnia & Herzegovina Futures Foundation (BHFF) hosted a networking meetup in Seattle, USA, bringing together around 40 professionals eager to learn more about our work and to connect with fellow colleagues in the greater Seattle area.

A huge thank you goes to our board member Dragana Marinković, who played a key role in making this event possible. Dragana, who works at Amazon, secured the venue, and we are incredibly grateful to Amazon for hosting us.

It was inspiring to see all generations come together—from high school and university students to young professionals and seasoned experts. Among them were world-class doctors, engineers, and industry leaders managing major portfolios at Boeing, Amazon, Microsoft, and other top companies in the Seattle area. Their remarkable success stories serve as a testament to their talent and dedication, and what makes us most proud is that they have never forgotten Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Our founder, Edhem Custovic, together with Dragana Marinković, shared the foundation’s mission and impact, leaving many inspired to contribute. Events like these reinforce the strength of our global BiH community and the limitless potential we have when we work together.

We look forward to more gatherings like this in the future—Seattle, we’ll be back!
